How Will EVs & Intelligent Mobility Impact the Energy Industry?
Global EV sales grew 55% in 2016, while the number of EVs on the roads is expected to pass the 2m landmark as early as Q1 2017. In 2030, BNEF estimates more than 30m new EVs will be sold annually. Those 30m EVs will demand over 500TWh of electricity and displace more than 3.5m barrels per day of crude oil. Advances in connectivity, sensor technology and computing power are transforming how energy is used the way people and goods move. In this panel we will discuss the likelihood – and path – of this EV and mobility revolution, while focusing on the implications for energy companies, utilities, automakers and technology developers.
